The US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association released its list of the 2011 Division I Cross Country All-Academic honorees, with Vanderbilt represented by four of its student athletes.
Liz Anderson, Louise Hannallah, Alexa Rogers, and Jordan White, all of whom were core components in the Commodores’ first ever SEC Championship title this past fall, were on the list of 104 student athletes from DI programs across the country.
“We are so proud of the ladies for all their work in the classrooms,” said Head Coach Steve Keith. “They’re all high achievers, as we saw this past fall in their performances on the courses. This is a great honor for them and a testament to the commitment this program has made to academics.”
Vanderbilt tied for the second-most honors of any institutions on the list this season.
Hannallah, a senior, is double-majoring in Cognitive Psychology and Child Development, while classmate Rogers is majoring in Human and Organizational Development. White, a red-shirt junior is majoring in Medicine, Health & Society. Sophomore Anderson is a philosophy major.
The Commodores had an exceptional season, going on to qualify for their first-ever team NCAA Championships appearance in Indiana, where they placed sixth overall.
