Notebook: Off to NCAA Championships

There will be daily reports beginning Wednesday evening geared for Vanderbilt fans on www.vucommodores.com Live streaming of all Friday matches and any "if necessary" games can be found on NCAA.com. Saturday Night Live! For the first time, the championship game will be telecast live on ESPNU at 7:00 p.m. (CT). A 90-minute condensed replay will occur Sunday on ESPN at 1:30 p.m. (CT). Vandy's Season Overview Vanderbilt finished the year rated fourth in both the NTCA coaches and media polls. The Commodores won three tournaments, placed second in two others and were in the top four in eight of nine events. Three Commodores were among the national leaders in individual average during the season. Brittni Hamilton averaged 207.04 over 46 games; Jessica Earnest had a 205.43 average in 46 games and Samantha Hesley carried a 199.96 average in 45 games. Quoting Commodore Head Coach John Williamson "This is a national championship event with eight teams, any one of which is capable of winning. It is a reward for an excellent season and being a part of it creates lasting memories. We have approached this tournament the same way we've prepared for every tournament and our goal is to have a chance to win on the last day."
