    SMYRNA HEAD COACH PHILIP SHADOWENS
"James really developed as a junior and senior, to the point where he became a truly dominating offensive tackle for our team this season. He's an extremely coachable kid who wants to improve as a player."

"James is extremely gifted. Of course, he has a big body, but also has really good feet and possesses the kind of huge wing span that coaches are looking for in their tackles. He became a much better run blocker this season, and was a dominant pass protector."

"James was the highest grader among offensive linemen every game, and played really well as the games got bigger. In the state championship game, he had a outstanding performance in our victory."
